Storytelling: “Industrial Revolution”

Industrial revolution smallHistory without the boring bits…

“The (nearly) Complete History of the Industrial Revolution is the story of the Industrial Revolution seen through the lives of six inventors who lived between 1732 and 1889. We learn how a barber can change the world, get tips on dealing with lawyers, and how not to be eaten by an alligator.

We also get some top tips to save your career: try hosting a banquet in a half-finished tunnel (but never, never serve champagne) and an important way that chocolate can be good for your health.

Andy has many years experience travelling and telling stories in lots of different ways, from theatres in Britain and America, nightclubs in Tokyo; to community halls in rural Nepal.

‘The (nearly complete History of the Industrial Revolution’ draws on these experiences with stories suitable for all ages, and offer a great way to practice English in a relaxed, fun atmosphere.

The evening is about ninety minutes long, and requires only very simple staging, a room with seats and a well-lit small performance space of 2m by 2m with a back wall.
